I understand that some children may not like bath time. That can happen! However, we can do some little things for our children to enjoy bathing every day. What can we do? Let’s see!
3 tips to make bath time fun
- First, let your kids bring some bathing toys to the bathtub. Always make sure there are toys exclusively for that purpose. Remember, no small toys or breakable toys. I always let my toddler to play a few minutes before bathing.
- Second, while I bathe him, I always try to sing to him and mention that we are going to wash our whole body and its parts. It was worked for me to always mention the body parts, for example: “you have your toes dirty let’s wash them!, let’s wash now the hair, now we are going to get our hands clean” Also, this helps me a lot to improve vocabulary in him!
- Third, take advantage and use the bath time for them to explore and learn. Include floating objects and containers of different sizes to reinforce fine motor skills. They will love it.
Lastly, bathing time should not be boring or difficult. On the contrary, it is healthy, necessary and above all must be a fun daily activity for our children.
